Big boobs aren’t necessarily a blessing

Sometimes I love having big boobs. But a lot of the time I utterly despise them.

When my small-breasted friends moan about their lack of cup size, I find it almost impossible to explain how inconvenient having a bigger bust is. They can wear cute little bra-lets, fit in normal size tops and dresses, and they can go bra-less in public without fear of serious boob spillage.

They don’t understand how lucky they are.

So let me fill you in with just some of the day to day dilemmas of having huge jugs.

1. Spontaneous running.

Total no-go. Especially down stairs. The fear of your own breasts punching you in the face is a fear well enshrined with any woman who has boobs bigger than a D cup.

2. Anything that involves the word “strapless” is totally off limits.

Any strapless bra above a E cup will, no doubt, slide down your rib cage within 10 minutes of wear. The constant trauma of pulling up the bra (which is also extremely tight to overcompensate for the loss of strap support) is enough to put anyone off those ‘pretty off the shoulder tops’. It’s just not worth the pain.

3. Back ache.

Try carrying around the weight equivalent to 5 ketchup bottles across your chest. No further explanation needed.

4. The fricking expense!

At 30 quid a piece, you desperately attempt to keep wearing that bra that you probably should have chucked out 2 years ago. But you’re not made of money. These bras are expensive.

5. Bursting out of buttoned up shirts is a regular occurrence.

It’s even more embarrassing if you’re wearing one at a job interview. You look like you’re attempting to seduce the manager. Trust me, we’re not trying to look like a wannabe porn star, we just can’t help it. So, if you are going to wear a shirt ladies, always wear a vest underneath. Professionalism is key.

6. Men like to stare.

They like to stare at your chest before your face in fact, then proceed to nickname “the twins”. Need I say more?

The list is never-ending.

But there is one thing that all women can agree on...there is no greater feeling than taking your bra off at the end of the day.

The truth is, having big boobs is a struggle. But I wouldn’t change them for the world. #celebratetheboob
